There is no way to sugarcoat it: 2025 has been an intense year for the solar industry. From tariff questions and uncertainties to the very sudden end to federal tax credits, solar companies, manufacturers, and customers have had to navigate a rapidly changing landscape. At Sundance, we have been celebrating 30 years in this business and feel that our experience with the “solar coaster” has helped us this transition. Alex handled everything he possibly could, especially the labor-intensive paperwork, including all of the interactions with Duke Power. Given that we were tying into the grid, the amount of forms, conditions, and requirements would have been overwhelming on our own. Alex made it painless. He did all the heavy lifting, and we were only asked to sign a handful of documents.
The installation team — Travis, Joe, and Sean — truly knocked it out of the park. They were professional, forthcoming with information, and exceptionally kind and respectful. They treated our home and property with real care, which we greatly appreciated. Joe and Sean worked quickly, methodically, and cleanly, and were always happy to answer the many questions I threw their way. Their cable management deserves special mention — the area around our distribution box looks better now than it did before they started.
When everything was ready to be turned on, Travis took as much time as I needed to walk through every component of the system until I fully understood it. It felt like a proper handoff and walkthrough, not a rushed sign-off, and I’m very grateful for that.
All in all, we are extremely pleased with our new whole-house solar system and the benefits it will bring. Sundance exceeded our expectations at every step.”
