Happy Birthday, Sundance!

Over the years, we have played an integral role in the evolution of the solar industry, working to expand the reach of renewable energy in the Southeast. (Check out the ‘milestones’ on our Sundance Timeline, located halfway down our Homepage.)

• In 1998 Sundance negotiated the first Net Metering Agreement in the state of North Carolina.
• Sundance worked extensively with the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association(NCSEA) to bring ‘net metering’ and other interconnection options to the region.
• Sundance was a pioneer and played a key role in the development of grid-tied systems in the state of North Carolina.
• Sundance is the local leader in battery storage solutions.
• Sundance was a key negotiator of the Bridge Rate that is helping solar customers throughout North Carolina as they navigate policy changes from our utility companies.

Gratitude for Our Community

Long before climate change and its effects were mainstream news, Sundance began designing and installing renewable energy systems.

During the early years, we acquired invaluable first-hand knowledge by providing repair and replacement services for the many systems that were installed in the 1970s. Solar and renewable energy technology has grown incredibly since then, and Sundance works diligently to remain at the vanguard of our industry.

From our humble beginnings in the laundry room of the founders’ solar mountain home, Sundance has worked for three decades now to expand solar power throughout our region. We strive to treat every customer with respect and to earn their trust as we partner on their solar journey. We are proud of the thousands of customers we have served since 1995!
