Thermacraft was founded by Beach Barrett in 1988 and installs solar hot water and radiant floor heating systems, in western North Carolina. In 2007, Thermacraft was bought by Michael Pope who remains the owner today.
Pope got his start in solar while living in an off-grid cabin in Colorado at a 10,000 feet elevation. That experience gave him a hands-on renewable energy education, all with a view of the Continental Divide. With his new passion and career, he later moved to western North Carolina to work in the solar industry full -time.
“We are confident that this new collaborative relationship will allow us to best serve our customers with an even wider range of products and services,” says Michael Pope, owner of Thermacraft. “Together, our two companies have an unprecedented 50 years of experience installing solar energy systems and radiant floor heating in this area.”
The new collaboration allows both companies to be full- service energy providers for home and business owners. Sundance anticipates an enhanced ability to serve Thermacraft’s customers with a wider expanse of services while Thermacraft brings to the relationship expertise in radiant floor heating and solar system installations.
