Renewable Energy - Past and Present
Since 1995 Sundance has served our customers
by offering the highest quality Renewable Energy (RE) systems for residential
and commercial applications.
Renewable energy is at the heart of Sundance’s mission. We take
pride in designing systems that are user-friendly, reliable, and code
compliant. Our technical expertise includes solar, wind, and micro-hydro
power systems, as well as solar hot water and solar thermal assisted radiant
floor heating.
Solar Electric Photovoltaic (PV) technology
has developed steadily over the last decade. With the right design, PV
is by far the most user friendly and reliable RE and will provide a lifetime
of service.
Wind power is now the
fastest-growing form of renewable energy worldwide. Recent studies have
shown that WNC has some of the best wind potential in the southeast. Sundance
is working with residential and commercial clients to develop this resource
from the coast to the mountains.
Hydroelectric power can
provide the most cost effective electrical system, given the right site.
Since hydro systems run continuously, they have the potential to provide
a large amount of power. In all our hydro site designs, Sundance stresses
the importance of being ecologically sensitive.
Hydronic Heating Radiant Floor (RF) heating
systems offer a comfortable, healthy and efficient way to heat. Hydronic
heating creates an energy efficient structure by reducing infiltration
losses and RF reduces energy use by heating the thermal mass of your home.
Savings multiply when RF is assisted by Solar Thermal.
Solar Hot Water (SHW) is
the least expensive renewable energy technology that will quickly reduce
home energy consumption. With a life expectancy of over 30 years, a SHW
system pays for itself many times over in energy savings, while adding
value to your home. A typical SHW system displaces up to 71.5 tons of
CO2 in its lifetime, offering a simple and cost effective way to stop
Global Warming.
