As the world’s single largest energy consumer, the US Department of Defense adopted their Operational Energy Strategy in 2012, committing to an impressive goal of deploying three gigawatts of renewable energy on military installations across the nation. We are proud to partner with military bases for installations in our region to achieve this ambitious goal, with several large-scale solar hot water projects.
Solar Power for the Marine Corps and National Guard in NC
Sundance is proud to have partnered with the United States Marine Corps, bringing renewable energy to two bases in North Carolina. We have provided solar hot water installations that serve bachelor’s enlisted quarters at Camp LeJeune in Jacksonville, NC, and Cherry Point in Havelock, NC. Both of these installations are designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification. We have also provided solar hot water for the National Guard Readiness Center in East Flat Rock, NC.
