Hydroelectric power can provide the most cost effective electrical system given the right site. Since hydro systems run continuously, they have the potential to generate a large amount of power. In all of our hydro site designs, Sundance stresses the importance of employing ecological sensitivity.

Micro-Hydro System Advantages:

• Continuous power generation - 24 hours a day, seven days a week
• Possible to produce excess power that exceeds load requirements
  • Excess power generated can be used as a "Diversion Load" to provide heat either for a direct hot water system, hot tub, etc...

Micro-Hydro System Disadvantages:

• Some water sources are seasonal, requiring an additional RE charging source to the system
• A hydro system can require more maintenance than other RE systems
