During the initial call we will want to get some information about the types of systems you may be considering, and what your energy objectives are.
We will ask some basic questions about your energy consumption. We typically ask some general questions regarding your site to understand what the renewable energy potential is for your particular home or business. After this preliminary review, if you would like to proceed, a site visit will be scheduled at this time. This visit with enable us to accurately quantify your sites potential, and this is the first step in the process of designing a system that is going to work for you. If you are building a new home or remodeling an old one, we would like to obtain a set of plans from which to work.
Our experience has proven that great designs come from great collaboration. We partner with each client to jointly craft the very best renewable energy solution. Weve developed and employ a five step design process in working with our customers to guide us in designing the system that is right for your needs and budget.
The design of your renewable energy system must reflect your energy objectives. It must take into account not only todays environmental and energy landscape, but also the trends and forecasts of the future. For commercial and industrial clients, the design must respond to economic and energy objectives of business today, and incorporate its ambitions for tomorrow. A good system design is the tangible evidence of a sound and well-informed energy strategy one tailored to the unique needs of the homeowner or enterprise for which it was crafted.
For most residential projects this is a very simple step of tying up the details of the design and estimate and signing an Agreement to Partner.
For commercial and larger projects, we sign a contract to cover the costs associated with the necessary engineering and design work for integrating the system into the infrastructure of the building or the specific manufacturing process of the facility.
Once the job has been transferred to our installation department, the Field Coordinator will assign a Project Manager who will serve as your primary Sundance contact for all job-related issues such as scheduling, change orders, etc.. The Field Coordinator is also available to provide additional assistance and can provide direction for financial and administrative issues. Sundance is committed to a smooth, timely and quality installation, and we emphasize direct, open and regular communication with our clients to facilitate this process.
Our field staff will work to ensure that the installed system meets all codes and specifications for safety, workmanship and compliance to all applicable standards.
The completed installation will be tested, and Sundance will arrange for any inspections by your municipality and/or local utility as required. Following successful inspection, Sundance will officially commission your system and will go through the operation and maintenance procedures for the system. We will provide a notebook with all of the documents associated with the system as your resource guide for the life of the system.
For our commercial, industrial, municipal and developer clients, the commissioning of a renewable energy system is a significant event and provides an opportunity for involving the larger community through a press conference and/or other public event. Sundance welcomes the occasion to raise public awareness and would be happy to lend assistance to help make the most of an event.
As a service to our clients, Sundance completes and facilitates the filing of all paperwork needed for the interconnection of its electricity-producing installations to your utility, and the application process for selling Renewable Energy Credits (RECS). In addition, we register all of system components with their manufacturers to activate all warranties
