1. The Site Visit

The site visit provides the opportunity for Sundance to accurately measure and assess your homes renewable energy potential. We will gather information on the physical characteristics of your site such as the orientation and general lay of the land, and take all the measurements needed for designing the system for you home . The site visit also gives us a chance to provide a more in- depth overview of renewable energy, and answer any questions about how renewable energy systems work, how it might best integrate into your homes existing energy system, what financial incentive programs are available to you, and any other questions that may arise.

2. Load Analysis

The load analysis helps us identify the organizing principle for the design of your particular system. By knowing where and how much energy your household uses, and identifying any daily and seasonal variations in consumption, we can identify which technologies, and what size system will serve your households needs, as well as provide the best return on your investment . Factors we consider may include: the number of people in your household, your monthly utility bills, the size of your home, and the heat loss of the house. If we are designing an off-grid or grid tied back-up power system, we will get specific details of the loads of the house and how often they are used. Click here to find a copy of the load worksheets we use for designing systems.

3.Preliminary Design & Estimate

Based on the site visit and load analysis, Sundance will provide a couple initial design options, with preliminary estimates for your review.. The Initial design options will include:

Sundance will email or mail your proposal, and at your request, walk you through any sections to help you make a confident and informed investment decision.

4. Design Review

After providing the initial designs, we will schedule a time to review the system options. Together we will look at the overall system concept, as well as performance and financial implications.

The design review serves to not only ensure a thorough understanding of the design, so that it truly represents and serves the needs of our customers but it also yeilds clear expectation for the performance and financial considerations of the installation. One other essential piece of this design review process is the ability to provide our cutomers a high level of education regarding their crafted renewable energy system.

5. Final Design Detail & Final Proposal

Using the results of the creative design review process we will fine tune the design(s) and associated estimate(s) to produce the final design(s) and estimate(s) for the job. With the acceptance of this design we will also do any specific engineering and will produce a line drawing which represents the final design.

The final proposal will include:
