1. The Site Visit

This visit provides the opportunity for Sundance to gather additional site information and to accurately measure and assess your sites renewable energy potential. It also affords us the opportunity to provide you with a general briefing and for you to ask any questions about how renewable energy systems work, how it might best integrate into your buildings existing energy systems, how financial incentive programs can subsidize a significant portion of the installed cost, and any other questions that may arise. For the most effective use of this visit, it is recommended to have in attendance any interested staff or energy strategy team members, finance and accounting, and/or corporate officers.

2. Load Analysis

The purpose of the load analysis is to find the organizing principle for the renewable energy strategy and design. By knowing where and how much energy your business or factory uses, and identifying any daily and seasonal variations in consumption, we can identify which technologies will provide the best return on your investment. The load analysis will help determine the sizing requirements of the system design and enable us to estimate the percentage of your overall consumption. For solar electric, wind power, or microhydro systems, Sundance will review your electric bills to assess your monthly, seasonal and annual consumption of electricity. For solar thermal, Sundance will conduct an assessment of your commercial or industrial facilities and hot water consumption and patterns of use.

3. Conceptual Design and Preliminary Estimate

Using information gathered during the site visit, Sundance will perform a conceptual design of your renewable energy system(s) and prepare a preliminary estimate, which will include:

Sundance will email or mail your proposal, and at your request, walk you through any sections to help you make a confident and informed investment decision. At this juncture we may make adjustments to the strategy and or the system design parameters. We will oversee the final design decisions for your project to insure energy needs are met and the system is code compliant.

4. Financial Review and Pro Formas, and Greenhouse Gas Emission Impact

Following the conceptual design and estimate, we will do an initial financial review of the system. This review will include the following.

If the system design is accepted, this review will be valid for the project. If any changes are made to the system design we will prepare another analysis for your review and approval.

5. Engineering Detail, Drawings and Final Proposal

Once the system design has been approved, we can proceed with the required field engineering and design work to produce an engineered drawing for the installation and the final proposal for the project.

The final proposal will include:
